The Never Ensemble performs with amplified and electronic instruments. The Never Ensemble is the musical entity of the Kingdom of Never: an interrogation on negative time.
UTSU is a Japanese verb meaning to strike or to sound; the similar sounding UCHUU has a meaning denoting cosmic emptiness. UTSU follows Thales' contemplation of the heavens and his fall down the well,mapping an abstract course through air and land to finally emerge on foreign shores.
The Never Ensemble, (Jasmin Blasco ft. Adam Garcia) premiered UTSU at Zébulon on February 25th 2018 for the closing event of Fabien Danesi's The Dialectic Of The Stars (in partnership with FLAX).
